Rocky Shore Animal Work

We have been using our reading skills across the curriculum to learn about the rocky shore. Below is some work I did about a rocky shore creature that I was interested in.

  1. Seaweed was a great topic to choose-one of your favourite foods! And great for our garden! It's a shame that it's not the green seaweed that grows all over the West Coast that is the yummy seaweed used for sushi! I hadn't thought about seaweed needing sunlight to grow which makes sense and perhaps that's why the different coloured seaweed is at different levels in the water. The different kinds might need different amounts of sunlight...the deeper the seaweed grows, the less sunlight...Just in case you want to fix it, you've put the last paragraph on the second page in two places on that same page...good collection of information.
